Due to new Utah legislation, all students are required to pass a civics test in order to graduate from high school. This applies to all students, including this year’s senior class.

Here is some information about the test:
- All students are required to take and pass the 50 question test.
- The test is multiple choice and it is anticipated that it shouldn’t take more than a half hour.
- Any high school student can take the test at any time – they don’t need to have completed the Government and Citizenship class.
- No matter when the student takes the test, it applies toward graduation.
- The test is available on-line at alpinecivics.org.
- Students can take the test on their own or at the school. They use their Alpine School District login to take the test.
- Seniors MUST take and pass the test to graduate.
- Students can continue to take the test until they pass.
